Loomis Ranch Horses

Congratulations to Mathieu Buton and Hot Chic Whiz (Topsail Whiz x Nestle Quick Chic) the NRHA Open Futurity L1 Reserve Champions. Their score put them 19th in the overall rank of Finalists (62 horses out of a field of 452). Mathieu also rode West Coast Ranee (West Coast Whiz x Shining Maid) in the OL1 finals (8th place/38th overall).

7 of the Open Futurity Finalists were sons or daughters of Topsail Whiz.

Breeding generations of Million Dollar Sires:

  • Topsail Cody [4th NRHA $1M sire]
  • Topsail Whiz [only $9M sire]
  • West Coast Whiz [$1M sire]

Bob Loomis is the only reining horse breeder who has raised, trained, and stood three generations of Million Dollar Sires. Visit the ranch and check out the prospects and reiners we have for sale.

With six championships, Bob Loomis has more NRHA Open Futurity victories than any other rider in the industry. Not only is Bob in the NRHA Hall of Fame; but so is his phenomenal stallion, Topsail Whiz.

Bob has been training reining horses since 1967. He began his breeding program in 1974, which now operates at the cutting edge of equine reproduction. He is the #1 breeder of reining horses.

Loomis Ranch currently stands Cromed Out Mercedes (2009 NRBC Champion).

Bob also trained and stood Topsail Whiz (NRHA's first $9 million sire), West Coast Whiz (two-time reserve NRHA Derby champion, Million Dollar Sire), and Topsail Cody (NRHA's 4th Million Dollar Sire, NRHA Open Futurity Champion, and AQHA World Champion Junior Reining).

Loomis Ranch Longhorns

The "Ultimate" Cow and Bull

We strive to breed for confirmation, horn, color and disposition. The Longhorn cattle are not only a business for Pam and I, they are a big part of our enjoyment each and every day.

Our awesome cow, BL Rio Catchit, is the first Longhorn to have horns that span over 90" tip to tip. Her son, Cowboy Tuff Chex, is the first bull to have a tip to tip horn span over 70" BEFORE his second birthday.

Pam and I invite all of our great Longhorn friends, as well as new people that are interested in the Longhorn cattle to come to our ranch. We love showing our cattle and sharing our love for these wonderful animals.

Hope to see you soon!
- Bob & Pam Loomis
